Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker 8 Y; |; E4 e: x2 a* t5 W
(Full time: 35 hours per week)

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.6 E8 A5 b9 r+ t! \8 _+ B. g
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
r$ f( b3 Q: T* ]" X1 H) U3 M9 L6 F- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:( j4 A; a% @' g# `' H& w. I6 t T5 o
- post secondary diploma
- b5 I ?6 A. |5 T) i0 u6 l- customer service and office clerical experiences
0 t+ g+ G- ^" Z" F- Y- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
: Q; I2 u- m, e2 ~- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community' m! G" A0 J7 q5 _) b+ @3 U! f; @
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services! V, r1 O+ |' z8 W
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
! }( Y# w8 ^* y# o0 I- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies& ]: s: z Q' P1 v# j, w# u
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
5 Q: U0 Y) e( _" y: K- update ASSIST website
5 c, H2 P' f2 w" f U6 X3 G3 v- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
, ~ w# b% p, ~- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services3 I# a. @' b( a) C: ]& z0 v$ r8 e
- assist in writing proposal for ISP+ y6 y2 R6 |& o$ r2 |: E0 h; T( Z
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP) q S2 R( _2 \/ Q) a: B. k
- hold regular meetings with ISP team: U& p; p( P- T% z" t3 }
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time& m' t4 I" S x
- update membership database
+ P% ]9 K" N* D' c5 Y- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)) K, P( [4 Q3 W: H/ Y

Qualifications, I; C# u* \2 I, q1 `; u* E [: w
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education % c9 F2 f% `( ]4 j0 m
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills6 }6 _& A" f( _' ?; c
- experience in community work and immigrant services
