* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
5 h/ {) l' z" V& B * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities' i( _8 ^" Y0 x% s ]+ B3 _: I- q
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes- a$ \8 f6 p, p$ t5 q% j
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
v. \% A, v7 t! ?5 j * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders5 B% `: d$ i, |. C" X( t3 z( Y' N
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
- G3 F3 f! |, \5 u * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs/ p1 {. U6 F% [5 b4 {
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials5 S4 |1 u. |2 I) }2 G
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
( Q* s p Q* h, U * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results) w; N& w4 }* h
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies ?# L/ t& g" ~- p6 W c9 k

Qualifications
% i3 H5 G$ Z+ @1 N$ o
# u: ^ w$ ^; D8 o. R( P * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred% R5 O, c# E6 W' g
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth, l/ _+ M. ]0 h2 R. s( ]+ n% o
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset% ~7 l; ]# n p
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
1 R3 {/ [/ V' Z * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills9 Q/ q4 S. o; K& e, w: {
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
) w/ X6 u8 A; `, k: |$ E4 F0 d8 h4 E% _3 v * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
