4 E; V S: L. l* ?Recently OPEC reduced crude oil production twice over just a few

A year ago these things would have spiked the price of crude oil by at
9 l' G' c( q7 ?4 ~least $50.00 per barrel. Today, oil price declined by a record amount. , b* Y8 P, m4 u0 }4 w0 q7 s. O9 G" U9 n$ n

There are several reasons the price of oil is decreasing in the face

1. New oil has been found in Canada, Montana, North & South Dakota and 2 X$ @9 Z8 D6 P: X* w
in the ocean near Brazil. Each of these oil fields has more oil than

4. Production of bio-fuels is beginning to reach critical mass. Bio

5. Virtually every restaurant in the US and all food processing plants

to bio-diesel producers. One pork processing plant in Oklahoma is
9 r5 H# P8 M3 E& yproducing 30,000 gallons of bio-diesel per day from pork fat. $ O7 |) q- \ H$ y' h% k; Y5 v' I7 ?

6. There are 99 nuclear reactors in various stages of planning and

Airlines are flying airplanes with bio-fuel. They are finding the bio- 9 s/ f8 I. e+ C# Z% r0 S+ Y1 a
fuel is cleaner and performs better than jet fuel.

8. Cities and counties throughout the US are selling the rights to
j; ~* z8 v- z+ @' Z, Gcapture methane gas from landfills. This is a huge source of gas " h" u# _3 P% m
available at very little cost or risk. The gas is displacing crude
! e4 u) C$ W- X0 Toil. 2 m& r9 @1 @$ z0 D
U# d; E3 R) P4 d7 F4 w% t# \% L' c
' O, t- u z% Z/ Q" a; C9. Coal is being transformed into a clean burning liquid fuel. The CO2
+ t% j1 }! _0 J7 b, P+ pproduced as a byproduct is sold to oil companies for injection into 6 y. L8 h2 G6 Q5 D _9 c
oil wells.

9 ]7 A2 T( \' q4 H% K5 I10. Solar, wind and ocean energy is displacing oil as an energy 5 Q& e% F3 l" N' P8 d
source. Three new wind turbines are being erected every day in the US. ) N" R* @* z h8 u

Each of the above by itself will not make a large difference in the 5 ]. d3 S3 P# h+ b
price of crude oil but the sum of all of them together is world # x& C% E. }0 b9 ?9 z
changing. The important thing is that OPEC no longer has the ability ! a- D9 M: p, Z$ W7 s1 U
to control oil prices.

performed OIL companies and probably they are yet to get the justified
