CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.

• Complete data entry in various programs.

% Q# A0 r e7 b3 q5 E• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Support maintenance of Human Resources records and the development of employee handbook.

• Perform financial administrative duties as required.

• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

3 _0 _ o6 h3 ?1 ^+ O• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.8 j' z+ K. x- U* B2 N" I

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

+ i) t' r8 ]) P• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.

6 C4 B2 z0 w9 x. U! B• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

% u) D8 M$ D3 O* W: M$ OSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.

Spanish language abilities are an asset.
