  y7 J( c- J3 C0 XThis program is for immigrants and members of visible minorities who have an interest in a career in law enforcement.

Start date: November 2, 2009 End date: March 31, 2010.
! a) k: @+ W! V7 l0 I2 N7 nPrograms run from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
Location: Edmonton Mennonite Centre for Newcomers, 8914 118 Avenue

4 C% _- V- [8 aEntrance Criteria
You must be/have:
7 S( T( [5 f, z• Alberta High School Diploma (or equivalent)
' z, p6 ~, J9 d! e. |• Unemployed or underemployed
' x2 y" S( R7 G& j9 q0 `% H. ?• Minimum 18 years of age
; k* t4 Y0 U' |6 C5 o• Good moral character
- w' {) X. m% p; x• Good health and physical condition
• Good written and verbal communication skills – must be at a CLB 6+
  ]9 c0 [. d' K+ W• Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
• No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
+ ]/ E2 C0 L/ T% {- F% |" ~9 ?. ~1 c! m• Eligible for financial assistance, or willing to pay tuition
• Citizenship documents: Permanent Resident Card or recent Canadian
