Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
6 w% v4 `. g  M9 \) s% |% D3 J+ o; K-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
; J  K! u, i6 d0 L-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
6 {9 I% }" Z0 {- G1 X' B-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
! s& E, ]& |  W# M; |& F-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
" s/ U8 F$ v' }. `" p-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

& C4 ]$ j" O' z9 U. E9 _6 J-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
3 ]5 k5 G9 \# s( |7 \  l: F-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
7 j. M  P2 p" \-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
. G1 f4 B) ~2 k-        Skills in marketing & promotions
: z$ [) v$ g" p; |& I2 z-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
