Responsibilities:' M2 a% L) v8 R: f5 P6 S
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
6 w% v4 `. g M9 \) s% |% D3 J+ o; K- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling# g* L7 J7 G2 i1 e6 b
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups/ o% Q" l3 l/ p# B2 F3 U
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
; J K! u, i6 d0 L- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

Key Qualifications:5 o9 S7 C: V/ d' b8 v1 ]
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences. f4 M) l. ?* D3 q4 t. [" B; x6 s! T1 H. b
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
6 {9 I% }" Z0 {- G1 X' B- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others0 P. n" N3 ]! D1 p
- Experience doing program development
! s& E, ]& | W# M; |& F- Strong organizational and coordination skills/ h5 f5 D/ R ? L8 ^" k" ?
- Self-directed and able to take initiative3 x3 j, W) m: H+ s9 h0 Y3 q
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
" s/ U8 F$ v' }. `" p- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license
