一对老两口有两个女儿，
The older daughter was married to a man who sold umbrellas, while the younger one was married to a man who sold straw hats.                
! _0 O2 p3 e7 W# J) N1 i' z' j5 T大女儿嫁给了一个卖雨伞的，二女儿嫁给了一个卖草帽的。
; e" a' U, p8 M4 @, x0 gTherefore, whenever it was a fine day,                
所以，每当遇到晴天的时候，
the mother would sigh: “Oh, it’s a bad day for my elder son-in-law.”
# ?+ C( y( k' n2 Z& u6 a0 U, h& A5 t; q做母亲的就会叹气：“哎！大女婿的雨伞卖不出去了。”
0 R; H" ^3 y2 j. XBut if it was a rainy day, she would sigh as well: “Nobody’s going to buy my younger son-in-law’s straw hats.”
) {, _8 G) [' S+ P遇到雨天，她还是会叹气：“二女婿的草帽没人买了！” ，
8 j) t& \* y6 v5 ?( ^So she was never happy, rain or shine.
9 w+ w9 V) f+ f; {4 d所以，晴天雨天老太太都不高兴。
But her husband saw the matter in a different light.He was happy, rain or shine.         
可是老先生却恰恰相反，不论晴天雨天，老先生都很高兴。
On sunny days, he would think that his younger son-in-law would sell lots of straw hats,
7 K7 ~5 e, R; P  t; M5 m- w晴天时他想到二女婿的草帽会卖得好，
and on rainy days he would think of his elder son-in-law doing well selling his umbrellas.
雨天时他想到大女婿的雨伞会卖得好，
In reality, happiness is a kind of attitude.

# F& d5 o3 X# P1 E. f) eIt is never far from you, depending on whether you are contented or not.
