We're a 12-week after-school educational leadership program delivered at no charge to grade seven/eight students. We mentor kids on the verge of high school and adolescence to give them the tools to make the right choices for a healthy, satisfying and productive life.

We have already reached 7,000 kids & need your help to reach more as we continue to grow. The Program Manager is responsible for the recruitment, screening/training of qualified Volunteer Coaches & for building relationships with schools in various areas of Alberta. He/she will maintain up-to-date info. in our dBase and takes initiative in recommending refinements to it which will increase efficiency and customer service.

$ p0 o2 r+ Y' l# j% F4 F* M# A0 @Responsibilities: manage the recruitment, screening/training of program volunteers and screeners (job descriptions will be provided); develop & manage relationships with schools and school contacts to initiate & continue programs; develop/manage school contacts and the relationships with our volunteer coaches; maintain contact dBase; coordinate Volunteer appreciation events. - R# V: D4 s/ R$ F) e/ B6 [% I2 n

V/ q0 g3 E5 sEssential Requirements: knowledge/appreciation of the volunteer community; computer literacy skills and ability to operate MS Word/Outlook; ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis in a not-for-profit team environment; superb customer service skills is an asset. Location/Travel: candidate will work from own home-office, with the need for limited travel.
