Key Responsibilities & Duties:
$ r5 V4 t- U: Z9 n. V! }1 J5 _
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
1 v- L# r& t3 `4 D! \ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
# ^# @+ F! h; o# s Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
& T1 P2 O+ g# F2 n Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
( H; w' _! ]5 U4 t! O8 @7 P: F8 } Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
& i4 Y; [0 g7 { Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
9 g- ~+ g- }4 p Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:
/ _) k) X% W4 c# M  I7 ~! h, i) E
9 s) C- i  I: y: W4 Z. z! X Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
. i  B8 H) ]2 }! v$ q Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
' \4 z8 b2 M; w% T- \& A0 _" { Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
, `2 Z- q- J1 `- C% R4 N; hstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
