Duties
) X* R6 g( t; H8 f; y9 CDevelops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
# O) |3 R8 N1 p' zGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents t% |1 v0 Z& L7 E+ |
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
6 R! F0 I; p' e1 jImplements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available
3 [% Y/ L- B* Z# zProvides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface0 i8 k# Z# K# x2 m! P
Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

B.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development- y- X M0 f) W. ~2 I# T$ P
