1. It's cool:cool
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard. \" n: R3 L
1 R- `, W6 V" p0 e6 u6 g3 C
That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
! ]+ H3 P, X/ C( A) ~. E# C; Q/ X& x7 w+ O5 C) M
Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)) e* }+ B, D7 P9 { {0 Y! x
8 y/ }0 x6 Y O2 T! S4 ? 主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
6 n- R6 f1 S' t
; f2 i. ~. ~; b' C- b0 u( w She (He) was cool in the past." h* W# j4 E/ c
9 U h; ^, Q5 u7 \& T That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)7 X' k/ n' I3 _5 l) B# Z
2 h$ n( w$ r$ {( d7 L1 N
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)7 t4 W- }* U# \7 G, W
4 P' ]# e0 U- x' `) k% Z; B8 I
但是如果说:Are you cool?
$ y* U8 s2 p$ T1 K L0 N& b5 I$ q' [
3 O% S+ i5 ^* w1 S" r; `- b She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not5 ?* ~! F! |4 P% A' ~% v7 E1 ~

2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
) Y/ H F' X& V& h4 E9 L/ I) p
They are trippin'. (= tripping)
! K3 T5 f: k1 E$ J1 i# {4 M- Z0 E% }, a9 h
She (he) is trippin'.

3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
8 g, s. W! d r9 V He used to be a nerd in high school. (过去他在高中时是位书呆子)! m" f6 z& |$ H& [$ p+ j
" R1 P, m* c9 \1 j! V Many Chinese students are(或 have been)considered nerds.' \: c& k7 y; n# h, h% a
* b7 A( @+ Z& G$ g
/ t' o" y$ p$ l- l: V2 f- @! F" k1 z f
He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒)& _4 T7 p1 s p
) F. v8 n6 O, I; D
6 n8 ^ E$ e) ?4 f' R* A2 E
6 X4 b( ^0 b' N) n& J, z- f I don't like him because he is a jerk.; H) k" _+ \' C$ }
3 n1 L$ v- V! ~) R$ G; |7 p 也可以用复数:* E. \' u% G* B1 B- ?. J0 a
/ v$ h1 \4 C& Z" h Many jerks are working in our company.

8 G' u( Y4 |$ y" R+ B9 P& F* e& M6 }) I: u: I5 f
They are jerks; He was a jerk in the past; Mr. A has been jerk for years.: p- r1 t- J# ~+ D

3 E) ^- G2 A" J3 y 4. Yo baby:Yo baby 是许多年轻的黑人男子对女子的招呼语,也有人用“Yo baby, yo baby
: `, Q! `# i$ E
7 x' p$ N3 S/ H2 X! k R! (He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
% L# p1 m1 M3 A( S3 D3 e. a8 z
- I% I7 d" U' z# t# t; ?5 c Yo baby, are you trippin'? 意思是:漂亮的姑娘,你的样子有点怪里怪气,有什么心事吗?
4 ~8 H A4 l/ e# h6 _* `5 B) u* e
“Yo baby" 後面可跟任何可以「打开话匣」的句子。诸如:
2 s {( x, b5 `2 q' ~0 H) |1 t0 g
% }, @8 J$ q; t' A$ ]9 N7 C2 F May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.5 c" ?/ }1 P4 b+ e S3 Q3 R
2 i( C% H, |* a% `; |* {
9 i; f5 o* M3 d5 f; O$ T# t Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)2 X4 F4 W, G8 h8 S
$ g. X6 ?; B# s0 w: v' q7 X 5. Catch you later!这是年轻人说「再会」的口语。(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) 因此,catch 就是 talk 或 contact 的意思。catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
" H( l r. @: H4 A- [& o
; h! Q0 I5 B8 D1 e! Y4 I 有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
