Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 j# @2 `$ K# C2 ]( f

Key Responsibilities:) y& b/ U& A$ ?. O( C' l4 T# y n
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
1 i0 \. V% [% o7 Y6 W. k. J" b• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
' `- q' D! I; i/ m- r3 R• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately( |9 h: ?/ ^# [! F! n9 q( H
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& h% ?2 `- v: C* o0 `+ a• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
* w, W# D& o1 V/ ~$ ^• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ Y }! _, R9 m! n9 K• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ Z, j! W; p/ f
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events7 x' m' m% ?7 h
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
$ @9 O) Q7 A; w7 r0 V• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

; J3 B( f: I% _- n" c; K• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person r% z f; ?$ A) A' a* s
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
. D K( i# Q+ M" r• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Knowledge of immigrant services. \& |' d7 i" c$ g

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience * ?$ M. J4 C8 Q2 o
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
