Responsibilities

3 F  a4 a6 `) Q' G·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear
' P1 v9 T2 f* h: J: t( ~5 k
& d! k& B% v# _4 O$ F·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters

·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings
$ z/ g4 c/ ?. q" u7 L+ ?
8 l7 j6 Y# [* d! |9 f·         Reviewing vendor drawings

·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

* P  [6 m( y: E·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  j$ O$ i9 G3 O* q! ]* e·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

4 S1 Q' P/ E& ^; ^( X·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

Position Requirements
) g" \4 q" j, [
·         BSc in Electrical Engineering

·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training

; U' T- [9 U. Z1 [·         Attention to detail is a must
" k/ k& ?% V9 F; C' |( s7 S/ c4 x3 {) ]
! `6 W) B: r/ ^2 O" H" w# _1 W·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

9 T. I( Q: R; y% j·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously

·         Strong written and oral communication skills.

·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

Work Conditions
