1 Q) [/ O0 y1 R9 CManage the status and restoration of all planned and unplanned equipment outages on the National TELUS Network by ensuring all, customer, employee, contractor, and other Incumbent/Interconnect carrier activities cause minimal detrimental impact to all network based services. * @; _+ d* V5 ?6 C
Provide management leadership in the time of network crisis or natural disasters directing TELUS's workforce to event resolution., ?# I" s, i1 d
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and status updates during abnormal conditions affecting TELUS customers.' R3 [" {- S) Q# Y$ |: a
Reduce the impact of natural disasters and service failures to TELUS customers through the creation and application of customer or network restoration plans.
" W' o( ]8 p" j. kCreate the Significant Events Summary Report and participate in the service assurance improvement review daily.% y2 S: _* W2 r8 J2 e# s- r% |
Manage employee work activities by administering the Network Activity Ground Rules.

Provide a 24-hour single point of contact for management support for core network activities and customer escalations. , s, ~ T- f6 y8 p! y

Assume a leadership role within TELUS Event Management developing tools and process improvements to assist peers with network responsibilities.) c% r# S K6 o1 ]0 I# e
Take accountability for TELUS Event Management responsibilities, and mentoring team members to insure World Class TELUS Event Management.

Experience in multiple areas within the telecommunication industry; Network Engineering; Capacity Management; Service Fulfillment; Network Assurance.

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

$ s* @( E" z- M' q: I* \Minimum of 5 years experience in the maintenance of IP/ATM network, transport, integrated platform, and/or voice technologies.
+ r; K: z; `* hMinimum of 5 years experience in voice/data/IP services such as VoIP, AIN, HSIA, and Managed IP services that ride on core network technologies.& _6 {+ n/ o/ J* D, O, L7 \6 o$ ^( `* Q
Extensive background in a decision making role.
6 a' s+ v7 A& f" HExcellence in the Microsoft Product Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
