( R% X3 A$ \! n4 ^/ ]Alberta Blue Cross is seeking experienced software testing analysts to conduct system testing for new web-based Administration System Replacement projects. The software testing analysts will be required to work closely with the business analysts and technical teams to ensure user requirements have been tested, and defects have been identified and resolved satisfactorily.' v0 ^) ?1 ]2 D" U
# s7 e. U+ _# Z# I0 Y6 oDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
$ e. {& W: V; d* h8 |• Estimate tasks and timelines for testing, identify potential schedule or project problems and provide solutions to alleviate the problems.5 W% o0 K4 L: \; [& A
• Review and understand use cases, non-functional requirements and design documents.
9 J# D2 L6 J7 I* D) U3 {6 x- o• Develop test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to ensure requirements have been met.
0 u: [+ B& m7 g9 { L• Develop automated test scripts and execute test data loading scripts.
9 R4 K, i" S4 E( w• Create traceability of test cases to requirements.4 F) I3 u1 G2 Y$ j1 Y, |! X) p
• Coordinate and schedule testing in a multi-user, multi-project test environment.+ f0 i |: E" h0 N
• Responsible for technical documentation of tests results and program specifications including test failures and successes.
1 v0 P5 x$ p% y" n' h. P• Execute test cases and interact with the development team to provide test results, report defects and discuss the impacts on product quality.
: J. X* y2 H) s• Retest resolved defects, track trends, and report metrics to business sponsor and project manager.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
& ^8 u" F' s* b! q' n• A minimum of four years experience developing test cases/scenarios and coordinating system testing or user acceptance testing. , N; k5 @1 i$ k4 X" R, F
• A related technical degree or diploma, which focuses on systems development.8 c) _& W! V% T9 N9 J' P
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both the user community and IS&T.
* ^+ w8 b1 ?2 S% Z8 Y0 \& v• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to recognize symptoms, diagnose causes and identify alternative solutions. A6 \* o, f5 d4 |
• Demonstrated ability to pay persistent attention to detail, while maintaining an overall view of the situation and the “big picture”.2 l' h" Y$ r# C! ?# M
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and meet the challenges of a fast-paced changing environment.
- h1 r( Q4 \- J) ~* z• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Visio.! m7 D6 ?% Y2 }6 z
• Hands-on project experience with at least one Test Automation and Test Management toolset on at least one enterprise level application development project. Demonstrated skills and experience with automated test design and scripting are desirable.8 E' p7 ?6 B1 ^! W
• Experience in an Oracle environment using SQL Navigator, TOAD, Oracle Discoverer would be considered an asset.
