The City is seeking a highly motivated team player to join the Human Resources Branch. As a Human Resource Research Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with experienced human resource and management staff on a variety of initiatives. Your interest, education and attention to detail in the human resource field will be important as you participate in research projects that deal with areas of recruitment. $ Q( h% ~& K* F

; w2 w7 z4 Z: }/ }+ U• Research and provide data to support best practice recommendations in the areas of search, recruitment and selection;
$ I0 Z7 P7 R( J! P4 I' J& A• Provide support to senior HR professionals;! ^4 A( F* Q) W. g) Y4 r5 f& W
• Report sensitive and confidential information to senior management; and
7 C/ q6 X! x; v. L• Identify, analyze and recommend a range of HR issues for the City of Edmonton.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:4 m- x. ~( h, o* A- T/ s, K
• International 4 year degree – HR major/related field* G/ t. w5 [" z) d( g4 d4 G
• 3 - 5 years progressively responsible HR experience
. N! B, I0 N7 j! g1 t0 c) c• Working knowledge of best practices in search, recruitment and selection
' E+ N5 s+ s1 M p5 `1 [* D; @+ |, [• Ability to foster productive relationships within diverse environments
' t) z" K) ~4 ~' A' s4 F6 U• Proven commitment to buliding and maintaining an inclusive workforce

• Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment 7’s)4 b5 H+ G1 ]& {4 y5 K/ u
• Proficient in PC applications, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access;

SALARY RANGE:
