how to apply ESL from China?

Situation is: I'm in Edmonton. I'm inquiring this for my friend. His son is gonna graduate from high school this summer, and will attend Univ. in China in Sept. He wanna send his son here for couple month English training in the summer break.
Is this possible? Any recommendation for good local ESL school? How to get an admission letter from local ESL school? From my understanding, he needs the admission letter for student visa.

i just know that all the new immigrants need to take the LINC test firstly, and then they will be devided into the different levels, which is from level 1 to 4,if you could get the test result over level 4,then you could get the chance to attend ESL .

楼主说得是国际留学生吧，应该可以直接和有ESL的学校联系申请就可以了，比如u of A， norquest，Nait， alberta college等。或者找中介可能也行。

大概知道怎么办了. 主要是要一封admission letter来办student visa, 有的机构要交学费才给,有的交申请费就能拿到了.
