As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:; W" b& B% q. Q' z h4 j( c
$ D/ l5 U2 z$ Z, @5 O( y
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 6 r% [' F# B- F# O
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. $ i! u* Q2 c! L, W0 }
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. " S7 s0 h+ G4 h5 C
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
* J/ }- l9 C Z& r* y- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
7 h+ N) S c! t3 s- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). 3 m* e2 q" ^! T5 x( C# [) @

( w8 q8 B1 ~ a0 ]- Previous supervisory experience
6 o) ~5 e' J! d( I5 H; c& H+ c- Strong leadership skills
- ^2 B7 ^' Y- U! X1 I3 g- A minimum of grade 12 diploma : N4 h, \) L) m* M) `( W g5 B
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills ! }8 ^( ?8 f& K) ?
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations * D U0 z: h5 N$ \' b1 C/ r
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
