Mr. Lu Shumin was born in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, the People’s Republic of China.  He has held a number of positions within the Chinese government, including Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Indonesia, Director General in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Counselor in the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the USA, Third Secretary and Second Secretary in the Embassy of People’s Republic of China in Australia.



Mr. Lu Shumin is married with one daughter.
