3 g" g1 _* W. v9 R0 A1 Pweekend hours.
( Q6 U" W8 k6 h) N3 ^You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer! c' u( z7 ]& H
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
" r1 K, {/ O$ w3 y. qcentre.
" B% N3 e3 c$ n$ T* S" i1 l6 t( CThese responsibilities include:
; D3 k' w1 z3 q1 m' I-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.7 U. |+ a' `4 ]) ~3 w+ F. a
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
& E$ I& E- M0 ~-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and" Q9 n3 Q% f% w" W2 ^: E
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to , f! h+ ?, J; t$ P' T/ J: p
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
4 c$ m9 s/ c3 c6 i( s-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic $ o, v- r( y9 o. W" x: e

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
: j' N9 ?9 L9 n3 |education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ( ]4 |. L, }3 q6 X
of education, training and /or experience.
, U6 r* K8 T, _5 B+ l0 K9 Z: bKnowledge/Technical competencies:: d# G) @" g9 S2 X! ~
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
7 {5 E s' u8 q9 ~' s4 B-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word- u: b m4 a1 \( j9 h, n) K0 L
and Excel.
$ A* T6 k6 m4 [2 p4 p-Experience using and updating an information database. & A$ t X6 s z! v# i
