Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30

the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the, g9 T3 h' f/ j' z: I

/ l' |$ v5 {: i# @& dDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at, R8 e0 ^2 ~2 j6 v
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus! r( n3 [- r1 _
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
" U8 V0 Y" X" V1 c$ |etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for: ^7 L0 w& ~4 f5 C8 K1 b
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
( [4 ?& W$ X! L, Y" K Xtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during: f# u$ m' N/ I; _3 W% g9 k
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,. n7 O z8 c1 G" E7 }
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
2 e" b8 H6 S! J/ _venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city) F- A/ R/ }. m0 U) a- M, D
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city

excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or

such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in! X* m8 u5 L: L% ~0 g6 ^, H
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate3 j& \, j! g' k$ ?8 Y
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
8 j& l1 {8 }4 e- O& xdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake+ S1 l+ o' C ^
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those5 u2 v. J2 o7 U; ~5 X
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
# U2 b; h2 E# X+ Eskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
; l2 l c% P9 lExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,, |: E+ {. a9 ]: O" t4 a* q" v% j
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
