Context: AACL - Calgary Regional Office is seeking a highly skilled family support advocate committed to the values of community inclusion who would also be interested in working on a new fund development program.

The successful candidates will have: a demonstrated ability to advocate on behalf of families/individuals with developmental disabilities in their desire to be fully included in community life; the capacity to address complex, systemic issues of social change; and the ability to work collaboratively with families, children/adults with developmental disabilities, government, local authorities and community organizations.6 S, B# m, L4 ~
2 E8 }) `( Q4 X3 `; y+ bIn addition: Knowledge of child protection policies and practices would also be helpful as the position involves working in partnership with child protection services to address the needs of parents with developmental disabilities and children with developmental disabilities who are at risk.3 M# e. t5 R1 b& n( U2 A7 Q* l
