Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
# i, I, t8 D, W; t$ [# }. N) S- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
2 Z. e3 q) {- _4 A- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker; ^. A; {4 A" K
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:: y& L+ d1 @/ b! k
- post secondary diploma - K) K2 d# n7 E% S: Z
- customer service and office clerical experiences
G1 U$ Z, p) [& Q, W" h! V- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* B# Q* v8 o9 p9 ^6 c, L# x

Job Description
0 {$ U; w9 ~ A- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
( \$ i, q' Y( g# j- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 ?4 ~3 [: H k" ?: ]: m
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services. C O4 q* T: F; E, T ?
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
1 Y7 X4 a7 o" ~( Z6 u- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 A5 T/ L2 F/ J4 a1 C+ ^2 O" n$ Y
- update ASSIST website
) t2 e' q g0 y# Z4 q0 C- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
" e. S3 ]% g/ e/ j: @5 m% ]3 k- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services/ M- S3 P& {% s7 Y" q9 |' k
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
% J$ Q4 v- H9 T9 t4 f$ {- write quarterly and final reports for ISP6 S+ s+ @5 T' m' v
- hold regular meetings with ISP team- R: V# F: I$ @& S& d1 J1 n- K( E o8 R
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

2 W( J' s$ W" ^' \. M, \4 s+ d% f- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)4 z+ F3 h6 g* B1 I' o
3 e, s9 U" N/ _Qualifications4 B: c( `. R% f1 a) N' X
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
" I( r, {5 [/ m4 D5 X- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
/ s3 `. e3 z( j$ a- experience in community work and immigrant services
