Volunteer Edmonton is thrilled to be co-hosting and promoting a "Festival Volunteer Fair".  

7 g" f* o  y$ v  T% L' ?' ZThe estimated number of volunteers required by Edmonton's festivals is about 5000 people! Our festivals are a source of community pride and an important element in the quality of life for Edmontonians in the summer - and beyond!  About 48% of Edmontonians donate their time and support in a formal way throughout the year. Volunteer Edmonton is excited to be part of this special volunteer fair which will provide a unique opportunity to involve the 52% of folks who don't formally volunteer - in addition to those who already do!

The Festival Volunteer Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 14 from 3 - 7 p.m. at the TransAlta Arts Barns at 10330 84 Avenue - in the heart of Old Strathcona.

: [. j7 J- K+ S  H6 g! l$ pThis recruitment event will showcase multiple arts and culture related festivals and will provide members of the community with a "one stop festival volunteer shopping experience".  We have confirmed that 15 diverse and exciting festivals will be on site, highlighting the volunteer opportunities they have to offer.

- w% f% r, U' ]- g: x0 u! SVolunteer Edmonton sees this event as a win-win for ALL festivals and for the citizens of Edmonton. This is a unique opportunity to find out more about a variety of festivals all in one place.  Hopefully folks will choose to volunteer at multiple festivals throughout the summer and fall, having been introduced to all of the amazing opportunities out there.  We want to make this as easy for people as possible.
