How many candidates will be selected?

& T2 s( g5 a* n. b* ^Two candidates will be selected to join the Canadian Astronaut Corps. A pool of pre-qualified candidates will also be created, from which other candidates could be recruited depending on the Agency's needs.

Candidates must apply through to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) Web site at www.space.gc.ca. Candidates must apply directly on-line- this is the only way to apply.

This job requires frequent and long-term travel. Candidates will have to undergo extensive medical tests As well as a background security check.

About the requirements
Do candidates with a bachelor's degree have the same chance of being selected as candidates with graduate degrees?

- {6 G+ @2 R, J% sYes. A candidate's combination of skills is an important factor in his or her candidacy.

I have just completed my bachelor's degree and am now pursuing a master's degree. Can I apply even if I have no work experience?

( l+ s! K1 v+ h; d2 {4 ]Candidates with a bachelor's degree must have at least two years of work experience. If you do not have the experience required and will not have completed your master's degree by the end of the recruitment campaign (June 26, 2008), you unfortunately fail to meet one of the requirements.

  C; ^2 I( E/ g6 E6 x  WThere are no age restrictions. However you must meet the education and work experience prerequisites.
