Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and9 K' @( Z; f' K$ @
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.

that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
1 l. o* Z, @! Z) I0 ]/ f L- Mfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,) ?3 S2 J7 U' |' v; d0 r4 w- p6 Y" G
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
( n8 J3 A( D* @7 H3 X' Ndrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for K( [& t) P* o; l; m: Q
specification and installation.
+ X+ [% y% A1 H1 ^5 q3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning, Y& l3 b" R% Y3 Z" Q3 ^4 u
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these* @+ x! h0 R L( b* s& T

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
# I: z; f2 Y M8 I/ vroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.6 }( p' n' A6 `& H% ^$ f
5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction+ t! l |/ ~6 ?; X
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job) J& `+ w W0 G7 R
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence5 x* @" k/ n, f* N$ h, r( b. c
checks.
5 a5 B) ^2 Q( U6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect0 |# u B4 X8 R
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
3 \9 {4 Y9 Y) e% x/ i, b7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
; |3 l: c! D8 I; L! dassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job R& @6 ?$ p% s6 T3 \4 G0 q: h- Y
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
3 I: V' q }1 Y& P9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
& n2 S2 f5 z' q, A5 z10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications." q6 y. C. }, y' \
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review

related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
