* Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region! |4 \& h0 g( ?/ N5 B, w
* Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
; L! x J1 a" _* X! ^% V) l * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
: b- b8 m. A, C. z * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations' ]5 J7 p+ o5 W/ _3 `
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
+ q0 f# s1 k4 t4 z' X8 l3 x* U! T0 k B * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

* Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment& v- h9 J& b6 `, l& ]8 j ?0 B
* Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports( r; y- I2 N" w S$ H3 @' [# F
* Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs
/ I$ c! X7 t* b' I4 y * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly

1 \# c* P4 s) W1 X/ P * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
S! v1 ?# I8 g( B% Q. C * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth5 T7 z) v% D' A: n
* Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
& E# g2 c4 }$ ^/ x * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
1 ^# @* i0 {. I Q5 ^1 c0 q! S * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
