Position Title: Junior New Equipment Sales Consultant x 2! O/ e9 L1 `+ a% {0 ]) D
Location: Calgary and Vancouver3 Y( ~% q! D7 G% _( O
Reports to: National Sales Manager# R5 L# h$ _/ ?) L. t

Major Responsibilities: $ _. i5 S/ B; ^- Q0 ^' H
• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.* S t' R. c6 x: J' I/ P; Z4 T
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.+ V) y+ I* Z8 T$ l5 d% i+ H$ ?- m h: ^
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 5 ?$ N" x3 e- V1 M4 X4 y
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.8 F4 m! E4 `/ c. K+ a+ |
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
7 R% {8 e( w, h• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.0 D/ x8 K. z% v, ~! N5 @
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas., Y. P4 C. U) }* l4 u% n4 h1 c" ~
• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.+ `1 a, I x* U0 d7 ^
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
+ S5 H0 i# v' d! {6 z• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.1 C2 ^) R+ N' v8 I
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.8 f6 B2 Z2 j& O
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.# `6 E* T3 M( @1 o" D9 q- Q
• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.! I6 C3 P' r1 d, R
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:5 K& j/ u1 L+ j8 [- r
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is encouraged but not required. ; a7 C0 X4 ~$ I5 C
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. . F, ?7 t S5 d: m5 \
• 1-2 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. ( m$ c& k0 o1 ^# _- v7 Q
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. $ O$ n9 o/ l9 F' U9 Z
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential- t$ u/ f6 f6 x- F, B( Y
• Not scared of heights! [- m' \0 ?4 H: J9 V. d& f8 ^
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other
, S( k4 y% ` _; I3 N$ M* ~• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. " M2 {; R2 }0 u. D! J
• Superior organizational aptitude, including sales process.3 l ~4 V# @ h0 G1 H
