Position: Recruitment Coordinator / Terms: Full time, salaried position with some flexible working hours required / Reports to: E.D. / Closing Date: 4:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2008, or until a suitable candidate is found.

9 l% i# E& T" t H1 T, b6 i6 K7 mDesired Qualifications: 2 years experience related to recruitment (screening & interviewing skills); knowledge/experience in services to individuals with disabilities is an asset; excellent written/verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills; a vehicle/valid driver's license required; post secondary education in a related field of study is an asset.

% ~" L# v0 X4 G* E9 sMajor Responsibilities: The Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for actively recruiting staff to all open positions in these two YWCA programs, seeking out creative opportunities for recruitment, promoting the YWCA as an employer of choice and securing the best possible staff for delivery of high-quality programs are all essential to this role.2 ]4 x, ^+ i$ l, f" Z6 U$ l
/ O" q6 v6 c2 B; Q% ]0 k9 x* `Responsibilities include: respond in a timely manner to the recruitment needs of departments served; develop job postings for open positions; post internally and externally; screen incoming resumes and match to appropriate open positions; schedule/conduct interviews in cooperation with managers or coordinators; complete reference checks for potential candidates.

7 z9 I+ Q0 y& f. g1 sPLUS: ensure new hires have all required clearances/certifications; schedule and conduct agency orientations for all new employees; represent YWCA Edmonton at job fairs, career days, and other recruitment venues; actively seek out and develop contacts/potential sources for new employees. $ v) t0 S' Z5 g t! a0 A2 T$ D) P5 D8 H& P
5 A1 f) A0 ?# h' N8 @Environment: The Recruitment Coordinator plays an active role on the YWCA Edmonton team, working collaboratively with other staff in the departments served. This is a full time, salaried position working 37.5 hours per week. Hours will be flexible, as occasional evening work is required in order to complete reference checks, conduct orientations, or attend external events.
