Housed within the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, this position provides administrative services that support the implementation of the Racism Free Edmonton Action Plan. The incumbent also serves in a reception capacity for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) and the Office of Public Involvement (OPI), and coordinates personal workload capacity with the ODI Branch Manager's and OPI Director's Administrative Assistants.

• Provide reception services for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Office of Public Involvement.
. `* D. I d z5 d$ |: M1 X, `- g) t- k• Coordinate and schedule all administrative and secretarial services for the Racism Free Edmonton and Council Multicultural Initiatives to ensure accuracy and timelines are met for numerous reports directed to all levels of the corporation.
) Z6 x4 Y2 Y4 F. m0 a" c• Provide research support by using the Internet, outside agencies and different levels of government.
9 i" h3 v2 @, U+ j7 N• Coordinate, attend meetings, record minutes and distribute agendas and minutes for CEO Committee, and Mid-Management Committee.6 [7 _* C- o3 {0 z7 M
• Respond to calls and email inquiries for information from the public, stakeholders and partners and direct media calls to appropriate spokespersons.
2 G5 X, s; L% w5 m5 B• Schedule meetings and book facilities, organize catering, provide hosting and prepare information packages.

• Develop and maintain informational databases and electronic and hard copy mailing lists;' {+ m% V2 r! H6 ~
• Type reports and general correspondence of a confidential nature for the Coordinator.
; O# m, T1 t2 G; V" K• Arrange travel, payments of invoices, maintain a secure filing system and stationary supplies.

Job Requirements: 6 d# \$ C9 B) r: `0 B- E
• Completion of Grade 12 including business subjects with emphasis on word processing and information and database management supplemented by secretarial course work.
/ g. ^& a$ N. K5 q9 ]* R8 ]0 [ s• Minimum of two (2) years progressive responsible word processing experience including scheduling and research.

U& q4 h• General administrative and reception knowledge: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; word processing; information and database management; website management; schedule management; agenda and minute preparation; composition of correspondence.4 v, u1 S# c" {" i$ k+ u: B
• Research and communication skills.; Y- I; @$ p) \8 w( l
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple schedules. ' Y% E7 Q* _5 k6 X
• Ability to discern sensitive issues and deal with them with sound judgment.

33.75 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program./ t7 w7 Y) q5 L9 Q7 W# I

SALARY RANGE: 21M, Salary Grade: 006, $17.54 - $21.79 (Hourly), $1,184.56- $1,470.83 (Bi-Weekly), $30,916.95- $38,388.53 (Annually). This union contract is currently under negotiation.
