) J& N8 O) N2 I6 b& M * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications! i; c! P$ [; D& S& f
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis

* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
& T8 s3 m4 ?$ {1 V% D" t * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
! T; O+ g) z: ~/ h * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs C; \4 t: X: H2 H
* Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment1 a8 [: b$ m4 y$ f( r5 ]- K- j/ K/ E
