Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
3 J H" M) R) q) a (ages 6 to 15)
1 }! ]- H: J- C6 J# Z- }* _0 {; t- Recruit children for summer programs; r) k$ p* ^0 ^! t( W
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs& b: q4 f+ w/ A) m
- Record keeping
! J. e% h% [- R( n3 v- Provide orientation for parents
- h- m! v! j) W: L- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency) H% B6 X% k- V9 l
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager

- B+ ~" P9 v& Y- x! V8 ^Qualifications:
$ j) T/ F; Z x* s* P- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education* F: M; |% w1 q
- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children% R1 }$ j3 U2 o4 j# T0 q
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills9 P) [! K$ ?1 |4 e: _* R% }
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
1 [/ S3 A, h" Z- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
( `2 F" J; P& r, x, a* |2 h- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities

- Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense y3 j3 `& P( l/ i. }

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning)
$ j) y: ~) a3 l5 F! `) W% T and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
7 f3 S2 x$ W/ ^; ]- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

Salary
