I just checked for you, according to the 2008 collective agreement, System Analyst I hourly rate is from $34-$42.96, System Analyst II hourly rate is from $39 to $49.71 and System Analyst III hourly rate is from $41.64 to $52.60. City employees work 33.75 hours per week..  Benefit wise, its not the best, it pays for 80% of all health and dental and you get $500 in your health spending account. But you have to pay for 30% of the health and dental premium... you are looking at about $200 per month for premiums... City also funds the defined benefit pension plan, you put in about 7% of your salary into the account and city will match your amount plus 1%.. and once you reach the 85 factor, (your age plus the # of years you work for the city), then you can retire and start receiving pension income...
