emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
) ^/ x6 A# b6 q: q( nand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a : Z& n/ ?1 T) U6 E% d! x( T
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and ! ?4 M" x# i3 f- n; e# M& Q: E% D
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern 5 S' k4 W2 Z$ W) L% R% O! O

6 x. z" m0 i; y2 }: R lJob Description: The Film, Video & Media Arts Assistant will report to the Executive
* v* }( S! Y3 [) K& sDirector and work with the Production Coordinator and Maintenance Coordinator by
# c4 B1 a& ]! f1 Oassisting in the day-to-day operations of the Production Department.
) Z+ c6 }4 i0 o & |; U( K6 s3 ~+ b
Duties:
|" h# k1 o0 ]* r- Assist with research on acquisition grants
4 F3 e. v- w m/ t0 t @- Assist with production and post-production gear and facilities v J* O( w8 K! a$ y$ r( N1 q9 i
- Assist with equipment maintenance & z5 y2 F1 C9 D4 x2 h$ b
- Assist with production logistics for programming events 0 S0 Z5 b" f4 F" u6 X4 h# t
- Assist with communication with members and interoffice staff
0 {1 x& v. V. R; ~5 i# ?2 L- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable + w4 g4 C0 a* H
- Provide vacation relief 3 j ]3 y+ Z3 U, t u

- Funding for this position is partially provided by the Summer Temporary Employment

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-6 N5 b4 z X$ w6 Y3 a G

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week 9 V% p7 s6 H I5 P
- Length of position: 12 consecutive weeks

- Advance organizational and research skills
9 N, L. t7 B \0 R& p1 p5 L- Advance skills of current trends in technology i.e. HD / ~7 j4 `) n& b6 \3 U) X
- Strong team player abilities
