Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to:

Plan, implement and evaluate Special Events:
/ c3 B7 A5 Y$ O7 p7 ?+ \· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee # L* U8 J1 B! _) t4 R
· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
2 ]' B) K6 P( x; a) _& `+ owith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the ; j' ^. m! v \9 X5 W/ L; G
advertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure 6 G6 W* y1 K' F8 W3 A
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. 8 e$ Q/ W0 x5 V6 S& S
· Attend and manage Special Events

- e( F) J+ z1 X5 hAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
/ ~6 d g# B( G7 h/ v* A+ O( J& P. [· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions ( |+ I/ n7 e r, y& q
· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers - P. w% Z- J& J, E
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
6 r- c. S- B+ m& }( J4 @. q% ]· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers
/ @7 y# q* D: g( a+ |& o· Complete program administration, statistics and records - `# C- w; o, d6 ^& R5 J
/ ^6 W, g, `) W8 z3 lQualifications:
5 d( S& E8 X1 l* z· Completion of 12th: W5 T7 i* {6 K' M# J" J/ ?
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
O' V* I: e# KAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. 7 V+ V" _2 A, k- D& p
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct + K9 {- C9 p5 C/ g m! P5 y
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
3 e: x1 D- w4 K· Experience working with and managing volunteers 2 A8 n& c* a9 q" M5 `" @
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 8 v C: a- G. C7 [% { M8 j
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events 7 N1 V$ ]- H! r" ]0 A$ o; T
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training + D1 l" ]% C. U% Q* p; B
· Security Clearance
