Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
8 Y' {; I/ V; d; N) ]-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
% ]( c4 M' g. ]" A-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health


! h" H% v6 t- V+ u$ _Key Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
6 t5 I( M4 Z* H# O! Y-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
% G/ s7 ~, l* s0 R2 }1 v2 [-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license

Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required
