Location: SYSCO Edmonton

The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

3 s/ z6 i5 C2 ~4 Q2 P1 K§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers% {" K: T$ P9 P$ w* v' Z
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
- V; |+ ]' \" r( b4 }$ G§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
( a: b# u: T! C8 N: O9 ]§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
6 ?5 [- L2 p& M+ `5 y  q; G§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk5 a/ E2 Q" d# j
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert4 F3 Z% X  P4 }6 w9 F6 W5 D! p
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties8 [' ^6 U8 q3 n6 q& M
§ Special projects as required% N3 m0 c5 k+ e( `8 k' O5 i3 d
§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls: F9 M8 u- t9 k+ F1 ]

- S# I7 t1 p! D8 G2 v% |5 T§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience" I' b- h2 H. `! X
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision8 @7 ^& S& V/ b( @0 i; d7 n7 [
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
) z9 I3 O' c' ?9 V' B§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues" l4 G" D0 n# @2 e4 o
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
3 Q/ o. u7 e; G1 h, ]; H8 q' G§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
2 O  Y: |1 R/ A3 W§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

1 Y8 q5 S# x! _6 u: VThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 3 C0 q2 X% P, ]0 s: U; ~

Responsibilities:
4 X7 S! U2 b5 ?& i2 {/ J§ Manage a stable local IT environment
$ T: Z& F$ z; q' m§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
. U; T3 z; S5 y$ |/ q6 j§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support9 f. o9 g3 J: A7 o" C
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
5 g- Y6 U8 N+ |- ]& L* N§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
# o* M4 t# {# `: R/ Y" _§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation2 g6 Y, c; K7 M- q$ q# R& W$ {
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
' u; D5 [9 M: u! D2 q. D6 Q§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
- P5 `  v5 N% s# @  d§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
9 [: N) Z9 n0 R§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
3 C0 O6 ^, _5 j( p§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
7 m: w, e$ c, Q7 K' z§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
* T' b& t) `6 J8 [, {* t) ^" Q; d§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert( Y, t1 Q% y2 E. d  E8 e$ B/ ]
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management

§ Coordinate and support end user training

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.; b% \4 o( E+ d+ L8 w  D

0 F7 _8 B7 ?4 B1 E在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
