5 s' y' k {! BThe Advanced Materials and Sensors Engineering Business Unit (AMSE) is a dynamic group of Engineers, Technologists and Scientists. Our team works in the areas of Materials, Wear, Corrosion, Composites Engineering and Measurement research. / W! E$ i, n' u
3 j5 F2 f0 c$ I. J/ l4 [5 ZWe are seeking up to three (3) qualified Research Technologist(s) with an Instrumentation, Welding Engineering or Materials Engineering Technologist background, in order to support ongoing and future activities within this business unit. 4 Y F* t# a1 D' i% m+ \- }- e

Candidates should be inquisitive, thorough, willing to learn, and have the desire and ability to assist in the design and construction of experimental and demonstration apparatus. Well developed communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment is required. This position will expose the candidate to a wide variety of R&D projects currently on-going in the Advanced Materials and Sensors Engineering Business Unit. There is the potential for the candidate to gain considerable knowledge and experience in executing R&D projects in this diverse environment.

; u7 u6 [$ B" b' pThe successful candidate(s) will require a diploma in either, Instrumentation, Welding or Materials Engineering Technology. Previous industrial experience including instrumentation, welding, corrosion and mechanical testing of materials and application of industrial design codes and standards is preferred. Prior experience in a research environment and hands-on laboratory experience (such as full-scale testing, welding, mechanical testing or metallographic preparation) will also be an asset. % o+ P& D# e/ G7 u7 t3 bThis is a technical position is for a one year term and offers a comprehensive benefit package and stimulating work environment. This position is included in the bargaining unit. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
