Primary Focus  
Development, maintenance and  management of Transportation North's:

Engineering design standards;
: Z8 n1 V4 u# t( X) c
Equipment, construction and quality specifications;
# Q5 l, s* D$ x* R
Typical Design Details.

Provide and/or coordinate technical support related to design standards and specifications as required.  
Responsibilities  
$ X6 v7 @; [3 _# t% q Coordinate the review and approval of new and existing (under revision) technical engineering standards, engineering equipment specifications, quality specifications, and construction specifications. Coordinate the review and approval of deviations from these standards and specifications.
* F% j4 R& W* N& [/ e
Promote the appropriate use of the standards and specifications.

3 n8 w! q1 K, ^  GAssist with the education of the Engineering Departments and other stakeholders as appropriate on standards, specifications, and code requirements.

Investigate and / or coordinate the investigation of current Enbridge practices and requirements for continued suitability.

Promptly respond to queries and change requests regarding the standards and specifications.

' a$ X+ x# J. [9 u! K* D/ N- n! qAssist with the creation and maintenance of background and historical information regarding the content and requirements of the standards and specifications.

; ^% t/ p( V) R& jSupport vendor management activities and the pre-qualification of critical material/equipment vendors as required.

Coordinate reviews, ongoing creation and refinement of the Typical Design Details.  Coordinate technical reviews and continued retention of technical patents held by Enbridge as required.  
Qualifications  
& D- Z7 V% E, h! z0 O- V, J3 }2 ] Minimum of P.Eng designation with APEGGA registration.
- t% s& \+ C8 x; N+ ^5 o( @3 f2 N
Minimum of 4 years progressive mechanical engineering and project management experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
5 E) V0 ~4 ]8 W5 e8 L; R( P
8 v. m9 E0 ]% d5 O! cSound business judgment.
9 @% S, c' b( p+ Q& ]9 t
  a- ^$ |* m4 pThe ability to represent and understand Enbridge business needs.

Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and documentation skills.
