Today the foreman gave me a motor direction meter. I asked several l Chinese journeypersons if they know how to use the mater nor not ? No one knew how to use it. I write this article to show how to use this motor direction meter. - y' w9 b: F8 n+ V5 i' D( r6 d
Direction meter function: testing the direction of a motor.

" i& t3 u# B; R( M1. Ensure the motor is deenergized % _; m: K4 r2 h" x2 E
2. Connect the direction meter’s three clips to the motor’s three pairs of wires(6 wires); ( the Red clip can be considered as the red phase, the white clip can be considered as the black phase and the blue clip can be considered as the black phase. ) Each clip connects one pair of motor wires.
- Z( ]! W6 m/ `, Y3 P# \" P' F3. Facing to the motor shaft, turn the shaft clockwise. At same the time press the TEST button. If the left led light T1 turns on, the connection means motor is running clockwise. If the right side led light T3 turn on, the connection means motor is running counter clockwise.
# P$ J" o: G0 E9 ~5 P& c1 _2 IExample: IF the motor shaft is turning counter clockwise, connect the motor to the power wires.

Step2. Facing to the motor shaft, turn the shaft clockwise. Press the TEST button,
" T( y$ I% q( x4 d If the right T2 turns on, than mean the connection is ok. Otherwise $ g% V0 Z. L" b# P
if the left light T1 turns on, that means the connection is not correct, change any two pair of wires. $ i, F8 G# v/ U0 u
Step 3. Mark the motor’s wires with red, black, and blue tapes. Remove the meter, then connect to the power wires 3 y1 j! g8 T$ w% ?7 i5 p
