 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
/ c3 A) r I# k& t8 Z t- k4 L Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
' n, i% w2 g3 G9 A Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" \& c: T& ?2 l! m3 h' A9 z) Z Completing required paperwork.
, p' m0 @1 [: A8 r8 a4 O' B Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
% o# E- ~5 T' x9 U B) g" o Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
* o0 ^) O& L. [ Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
" x/ D* A1 m' k; { Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.+ f% W3 S0 }& U. [- F; h
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
. t% U; M- O! g! F Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.+ u/ ~. Z' g* u" G6 U9 u* o5 d
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.# R P& V. Y. n) |" y

T+ e T) R! e/ E; e" y Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience./ G% r5 f* t& Z
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. e- J+ X; v% V+ p$ j Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
0 r% h- ]8 u. [' S Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
6 ]! e2 _' F' \# N M8 `) T Knowledge of community resources.
% f" M" O; W/ _. E& j X+ [ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
$ z E+ a# [4 S8 V Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. + e6 Z9 U n: b9 v3 o8 r' U* A4 b
' t1 t% G0 [# b8 N) ePosition:
$ Q3 G( O+ I+ I1 a6 AThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
g7 u. t& ?6 }- b8 e9 @7 }starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
