Business Unit Profile
4 D; |$ x3 T9 _- w \$ CThe Heavy Oil and Oil Sands (HOOS) portfolio develops products and processes that improve heavy oil and bitumen recovery from reservoirs and mining operations, bitumen upgrading, and production engineering, thereby delivering significant commercial and environmental benefits to industry. We require an experienced Technologist to be part of our experimental research and engineering team.

$ y4 D3 w5 r B. C" W, D) I# U. _' lThis qualified specialist will be required to participate in the design, commissioning and execution of high pressure autoclave experiments. Experience in water analyses for ion content, total organic carbon and alkalinity, as well as experience in clay/water interactions a must.

The most suitable candidate will possess a Diploma in Chemical Technology supported with a minimum of 15 years of experience working within a research environment, however equivalencies will be considered. Demonstrated mechanical ability, strong attention to detail and good organizational skills are required. Occasional lifting of heavy equipment is required; training in First Aid and WHMIS would be a definite asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and experience with Microsoft Office are required.* ]) \. G$ ~' S( ?9 _3 w& R. _. P) }
