d# L# z, z7 }3 cMulticultural Health Brokers Co-op’s youth project emphasizes capacity building and community-based, holistic approaches to support immigrant and refugee youth during the settlement and integration process. The project is now entering its third year of operation.: K; H% C' f# z) }. m$ C
% ^$ T. g0 h3 M" a* O3 z# j& IThe successful candidate will work as part of a project coordination team, along with the project coordinator and two project mentors. Supervised by the project coordinator, the youth community developer will work closely and collaboratively with key stakeholders, including youth leaders, community leaders and staff of partner organizations. Responsibilities:
5 k7 E i( A9 x. I• Work with ethnocultural communities and intercultural groups to identify goals for immigrant and refugee youth programming
' o J* Q, Q& b5 c• Support ethnocultural communities and intercultural groups to develop strategies to reach their programming goals, and offer support as needed' b1 o' f' ]- V2 {4 \% c
• Troubleshoot issues and challenges raised by the ethnocultural communities, intercultural groups and partner organizations
$ n3 n8 c& T d2 t3 D: H5 ^• Facilitate regular partners meetings# F4 e& h" d( d# Y! F$ ^% i( J
• Collect and share relevant resources for ethnocultural communities and intercultural groups (may include funding opportunities, workshops, space, sports equipment, transportation)
$ [5 q& Q! J/ h1 r• Ensure adequate and timely provision of technical support and logistics to the project
8 x! K, O3 F$ n' @6 }( x• Establish and maintain partnerships with other organizations involved in the project, as well as with ethnocultural communities and intercultural groups participating in the project
$ E- ~6 p1 _4 y3 U• Liaise with funders and prepare required reports and relevant documentation for the project8 M3 |8 T, Q$ c' R" G; ]. N% D( g
• Collaborate with evaluators, youth leaders, community leaders and the project coordination team to develop an ongoing evaluation plan and participate in evaluative and reflective activities( A4 k& C& n8 K, h$ ]5 ]

• Post-secondary education (in social work, community development, social sciences, education or related fields)

0 W% E2 c3 H2 g/ U• Interest and experience in settlement and integration of immigrant and refugee youth; interest and experience in education or the education system (K-12) is an asset
