Job Description:
) P. K" T8 b1 R• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed* F2 Q2 Q7 }; d2 L0 {$ S' A+ L
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components+ G; y0 T: X9 A+ ?, ?% v+ k
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
- p) ^; c0 r5 ]5 Q6 t' _" w, B7 D- f• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams1 m4 z: f5 K, A6 C4 n$ P
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place6 ^8 I o& v8 Y6 G
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment3 ] w, }& \8 G' j5 c! Y
• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools
5 Y5 w4 e% G4 K• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting$ ^4 A4 v4 x" l7 N
• Mix paint, blend and match colors

• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs' H' t& t4 L' t/ c* q2 ^
• Repair or replace interior components, such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation

) n2 f }* U7 v1 z• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program

A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade 5 K# u% {3 }1 {. V8 S
• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory
