想买个手机.但打长途很贵?!?!

我想买个手机.知道这里手机是要定什么计划的..
我想要那个可以给中国打.和加拿大别的城市打的..
但我homestay的aunti说.打给中国要很贵很贵很贵~~~`而且打这里的国内长途也是39ce/分的!?
这么贵?!恩恩...那个..如果不给中国打.让中国打过来可以吗?(有这种吗??!!!)

恩恩..希望各位向小的介绍一二````哪种计划最适合我这种穷学生?~

这homestay一定是个老外！

打中国的CallingCard相当不错，$5可以打中、加、美 500分钟，第一次使用后一月内有效。

不过你住在homestay 不是可以用他们家里的电话了吗?

ah? what is this? homestay doesn't provide local calls?

you should be able to use their local line to dial the toll free number given on the phone card, then the long distance will be charged to your phone card.

well, for mobile, you can try fido, the cheapest plan is 20 basic charge plus 911 fee and network access fee.  usually you get 1000min per month after 7pm, this 7pm is better/earlier than both rogers or telus.

fido long distance within canada is 20c/min, heard about price raising to 30 soon.  to china it's 122c/min, minimum 30 sec charge and then after the first 30sec it's billed by second.  this per sec billing is also fido only

if you want to buy fido, i can refer you - you get 20 dollars back on the 4th month.  but if your homestay allows you to use their phone for local calls in edmonton, i don't think you need a mobile, if you are just a student.

forgot to mention, all these mobile plan price are subject to tax, while the phone card for long distance calls are usually tax inclusive.
