We are currently seeking detail oriented person based in Edmonton to fill the role of Junior Accountant.

POSITION: Junior Accountant

/ E" {. ~$ T& z t1 {2 A; I• Answering to the Company Controller, the candidate will assist with invoicing, payables, cash receipts and disbursements, account reconciliation, and G/L entries.
' X, d8 @+ g7 |0 Y" U, C• Candidate will also be responsible for filing, verifying vendor invoices, and various reporting tasks as required.
7 O; f2 d9 Y2 ]- j• Candidate will communicate between various departments, including sales, logistics and production to ensure that operations are running as cost-effectively as possible

2 k, M/ j/ V: @6 \% ?* P• Minimum 1-year of experience in Accounting or Accounts Receivable/Payable role& @# i! S9 P$ `$ g: r% j% g
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in an Accounting or Finance related field of study- r, @4 o1 n/ h' [' V6 y# s
• Aggressive self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills- W# m; G* {0 u6 G8 h6 x5 C
• Must be highly detail oriented with strong grasp of numbers! N% d) u5 L# I" \8 p
• Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, data entry)& b8 P9 ~ V4 U$ T% ^
