As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:- w7 y5 R6 I1 q6 \6 S
4 q" q/ q5 t) c# c5 q2 A- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. 7 ?' G; {* g$ o! i
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
1 b+ P9 E- c7 j( |- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
8 {9 N5 Q( K; z: ^$ ~# s& \- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. / ~7 F3 E3 o2 o8 e$ B
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. & L1 t+ H4 K. M$ R
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction). + j/ F' M( R" U% D: w7 k
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- J" d/ h! ~6 X+ P- Previous supervisory experience

1 |/ _4 W% ]9 e4 W% X! Y& |- A minimum of grade 12 diploma % V+ k7 @: }1 N+ v1 A
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
0 M" L6 ?0 V! k0 s# @1 i- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations & Y3 m; l( M5 k+ `; ~+ U8 A: ]0 n
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.; U# T, I, R* `. `* s" e
