BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving- Y$ W0 I: Y. _# W* z

22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  $ Q$ b! s3 _7 \6 W, }  i

: [% M0 ~2 j2 q! P" Z. W3 vJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
& {$ V6 J2 p# }+ tOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
- w7 k- `' k4 k! zprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
! B) @# @8 p. d4 H' wcleanliness and order in the bar.
' F6 F; \. q6 V2 e
% n, r* }  h4 e' L! r/ n3 }6 CDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:8 r) U  s0 ^, r
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
" x* m  L4 n1 _beverage items.
, G: p. N- \' `* r- x+ w( |- ~: W1 C/ d
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  ) F( X/ [" W3 B7 y
bar and debit floats.

5 _. f$ J. z* ~# E6 p0 d3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
& X! g4 D2 y$ k: |4 y5 i7 I" |1 F& ~each shift, and upon closing.
5 X! d4 A# e5 e+ o# Z3 ^2 G- {! s% n: o/ q3 {2 x
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
$ U3 ~+ t6 L5 }# e7 L# f% {$ aattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
" z- q3 a8 v9 s2 n% u0 Zseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
9 W6 b4 t) K! b' K. \' a  [& m6 B+ T: Y& c: O* d% n* V
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
* \% H& C0 G( k1 h/ M+ ~storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  1 W: S+ }2 j* m& l# \/ B5 E) q6 e7 x
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.. i# o  @4 [4 c  i$ v  t, f: j

. w2 ~3 w9 s$ V4 J7 x# Q6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  , J. |" R: ]; G/ x8 p' F0 R
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
. U( S; c( p7 l& y7 y0 j! zhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  . Q- b  Y5 k5 E
accordance with Students' Union policies.

To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  : f/ O3 p3 r$ ]4 [
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

: d. J. f  M5 G: [" F1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
3 u) Y. ]8 P; f) l. Y! H) E; a. w/ A4 M; C; w3 e
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
2 A/ u* I, Y4 b: }operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  5 e- X' \3 e! R( c

6 L' P9 F% M3 u( v5 E4 Q4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.; l; C! i4 K5 y: e( S) H

$ p$ g. Q7 l4 D+ k1 c/ z4 SUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  ; K  x6 k& O7 t
