1. Base Layer - A base layer is an insulating layer worn, u; s9 t% K' y: M
next to your skin. Base layers help regulate your body) B4 Y# J# Q' c8 B
temperature by moving perspiration away from your- o( V6 h p' @! a/ g' ^. D# y' X6 M
skin. This layer should fit snugly and retain some
% K1 U7 }: K) n: { Linsulating properties.
9 A* u$ p' L/ x3 g6 B2. Mid Layer - The purpose of the mid-layer is to( c" _* x2 |5 V
capture warmth through trapped air. Typically a mid-layer& z" U7 }3 s% {7 |3 j
is a fleece or a thick wool layer.2 `: w& v; N2 r) ?" M$ o6 ?
When preparing for a trip to Snow Valley it is advised that students$ Y- b, i R1 n" z1 @' u9 r

There are 3 layers to consider:
. `& l ]2 [; m# N WItems NOT to bring: Denim of any kind, Knit Mittens or Ankle Socks& O5 w A! d6 |2 ^; l
Accessories: Hand / Foot Warmers, Lip Balm & Sunscreen3 p+ x/ A+ O2 U2 H$ |( a
- Gloves or Mittens (two pairs, in case one gets wet)

3. Insulation Layer - An insulated and waterproof ski

to stay dry.
