! g: z1 y' F7 v5 d* f7 X% Q- design poetry contest for grades 4-6 students on problem gambling
8 H7 D0 A2 e3 J3 u7 }6 \) V* r- solicit donations for poetry contest tokens of appreciation W; E/ r; p. e9 r/ D6 F3 R
- develop promotional tools for poetry contest
( D! _4 F" r$ Y1 \5 w- contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area, Calgary to set up display on problem gambling awareness
& M1 k, [# k8 h& f$ \0 _- promote poetry contest6 b1 j2 i! N" p! H* i, K
- contact local library, community agencies, government buildings and City Hall in Edmonton and Calgary for permission to display poetry entries3 t9 n, |7 `3 \" ^: D( g
- collaborate with Mirror Theatre to design workshops and presentations4 ]! E/ }# v' m z) ]
- contact elementary schools in Edmonton and area to attend the Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations! E7 Q" G& @9 t9 s
- set up displays and deliver presentations at elementary schools and community events: I: C! l; J- T5 ~# @
- host Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations0 ^ k3 H7 T2 f# U& T0 a3 x. [
- perform evaluations for Mirror Theatre workshops and presentations8 b& ^2 c3 X9 g( E& ^ Q9 i
- display poetry entries in a local libraries, community agencies, City Hall with forms for viewer’s choice$ Y; e. ~( i, X( e( _
- select panel of judges for poetry contest1 K" ^2 {% Z" |
- award students with most insightful poetry contributions0 B/ f4 l- h, P* ]; K2 f# m* w
- perform evaluations0 U' T6 m1 W6 Z
- prepare and write monthly report and quarterly financial report
, Z5 C. o$ Y+ a* p# I0 |2 _# J- prepare and write final report each year1 e& R3 a* [# S1 C# b! U! j9 ~' G
Qualifications
$ q6 n9 l0 n6 |+ X8 w0 l5 I- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences with at least 2 years of work experience in social services, addiction services, community work or family services as well as experience working in projects. Fluency in oral and written English, other Asian languages an asset. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literacy required, including MS Words, Excel, and internet.
